1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Teaching Kids 2 Care ("TK2C," "we," "us," or "our") at https://teachingkids2care.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

If you are creating an account on behalf of a child, you represent that you are the child's parent, legal guardian, or authorized teacher/educator, and that you have the authority to agree to these terms on the child's behalf.

2. Description of Service

Teaching Kids 2 Care is an online educational platform that provides social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons, activities, and progress tracking for children in grades K-5 (ages 5-10). The service is aligned to the CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning) framework.

Our service includes:

  • Interactive SEL lessons across six skill areas
  • Quick activities (emotion matching, scenario challenges, journaling, etc.)
  • Progress tracking and dashboards
  • Child profile management for parents
  • Classroom management tools for educators (Classroom plan)

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Promptly update your information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Children do not create their own accounts — all child profiles are created and managed by a parent, guardian, or authorized educator.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

Free Plan

The Free plan provides limited access to our lesson library at no cost. Free accounts include one child profile and access to a selection of lessons in each skill area.

Paid Plans (Family Premium and Classroom)

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

  • Family Premium: Up to 3 child profiles with full access to all lessons
  • Classroom: Up to 30 student profiles with full access, lesson assignment, and class dashboard features

Billing and Renewals

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current rate at the time of renewal.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Membership Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our pricing. If we change pricing for your active subscription, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the new price takes effect. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Teaching Kids 2 Care only for its intended educational purpose. You may not:

  • Share your account credentials with others (each user needs their own account)
  • Use the service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers
  • Upload harmful content, malware, or viruses

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Teaching Kids 2 Care — including lessons, quizzes, scenarios, images, character illustrations, logos, and software — is the property of Teaching Kids 2 Care or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal educational purposes (or classroom use for Classroom subscribers). This license does not include the right to resell, redistribute, or publicly display our content.

7. Classroom and Teacher Accounts

If you subscribe to the Classroom plan:

  • You represent that you are an authorized educator, teacher, school counselor, or program leader
  • You are responsible for the student profiles you create and manage
  • You agree to use student data only for educational purposes related to social-emotional learning
  • You will not share student progress data outside of the educational context without parental consent
  • Class codes should be shared only with students/parents intended to join your classroom

8. Children's Privacy

We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our full privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy. By creating a child profile, you consent to our collection and use of limited information (first name, grade level, and learning progress) as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Content Disclaimer

Teaching Kids 2 Care provides social-emotional learning content for educational purposes. Our content is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, or mental health treatment. If your child is experiencing serious emotional or behavioral challenges, please consult a qualified professional.

While we strive to provide accurate, age-appropriate, and evidence-based content aligned to CASEL standards, we do not guarantee specific educational outcomes.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep Teaching Kids 2 Care available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any disruption to the service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the service will cease
  • Your child profiles and progress data will be deleted within 30 days
  • No refunds will be issued for the remaining billing period

You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teaching Kids 2 Care and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Teaching Kids 2 Care, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
